What is Grief Counselling?

Grief counselling offers a compassionate space to process the emotional, mental, and even physical impact of loss. It’s not about rushing you through stages or telling you how to feel. It’s about honoring your experience, helping you make meaning, and offering tools to navigate life as it looks now.

Loss doesn’t always mean death. It might be:

  • The end of a marriage or long-term relationship

  • Loss of a pet, a home, or a sense of identity

  • Miscarriage, infertility, or medical trauma

Grief is hard to navigate at any age, but it can feel especially confusing for children and teens. They may not have the language to express their emotions, or they might act out, shut down, or seem unaffected—while carrying deep pain beneath the surface.

We provide a safe, age-appropriate space where young people can explore their feelings, process the loss, and learn emotional tools that support healthy coping. Using talk therapy, play, creativity, and mindfulness, we meet them where they are, and help them feel safe to feel again.

Grief After Suicide Loss
